The Word project. It’s something I’ve been thinking about for quite awhile. I’m writing for no particular reason, other than to have an audience and get some feedback on the writing and the ideas and to learn more about the topics I have chosen.
A few things…
All views and opinions are mine and do not reflect those of my family, my church, my employer, my friends, my neighbors or my dog. While I may say things they would agree with, I do not represent them. I represent me. Got an issue? Talk to ME about it.
I plan to do at least one post a week to begin with. I will increase it as I get into the flow of blogging. At this time I’m feeling kind of random about this blogging thing, so I reserve the right to write about what tickles my fancy. If you aren’t interested, feel free to skip reading the post. You can check the “category” of the post to get a sense of what it will be about. I know, all the “pros” in the blogosphere say I need to pick a topic. Maybe someday I will get more focused, until then, let’s have some conversations when it tickles your fancy.
I encourage participation, but I do have a few things I’d ask of you:
- Keep it clean – My children may read this. I do not care to have them exposed to coarse language.
- Don’t spam my space – Seriously. I am not advertising*, so you aren’t either… at least not here.
- Don’t steal my stuff – All content on the blog is mine (You know Copyright 2012, Tim Geoghegan), unless I attribute it to someone else. Writing, photos, videos, or whatever ends up on here… If you like it and want to use it, contact me (or the attributed owner). If you don’t know how, leave a comment and I’ll contact you. I’ll share most of the time, if you ask.
- If you are obnoxious, be so elsewhere. You are free to get your own blog.
*I will occasionally talk about a book, game, or other item and include a link to it. The link may take you to Amazon.com. If this is the case it will probably also have my associate ID attached to it which means Amazon would share profits from the sale with me for the recommendation. It’s a small thing, but I thought you ought to know. I would hate to have you spend money and allow me to benefit from it without you knowing. If you want the item but don’t want me to receive a fee, by all means, DON’T click the link… If you consider this “advertising” then ok, I advertise a little, but only for things I use and believe in. If you want to advertise your stuff ask first. Of course, you are always free to get your own blog.
It might be good to visit this page from time to time to see if anything changes. As I get smarter or do something amazing I may make changes to this page.
